Back to the basics...

I slept late today.  Later than I have in a long time.  I had originally gotten up pretty early due to some really loud knocking on my door.  It was the tree-cutting people.  I don't like them.  It isn't their fault really but they have been going up and down my street, cutting down perfectly healthy trees because they are in the way of wires.  I realize we need those wires to work, but I can't help but think that there could be a compromise.  After I talked with them, I started to read some of the literature that I got this weekend at birthing class and breast feeding class.  And then I went back to bed.

The weather report said it would be in the 70s and of course, it might rain.  I bought this shirt about a month ago and was itching to wear it.  I love the black and white stripes and the cut of it.  I thought it was flattering on a pregnant belly, even though the stripes are horizontal.  I figured 70 degree weather was the perfect day for this shirt, an old pair of cutoffs and my oxfords.  And I was right.  I was comfortable all day long.  And, I finally went into my first maternity store to buy some nursing bras.  Wow, I am not going to divulge any particulars but let's just say the letter was bigger than I expected, ha.

I am getting pretty tired of my usual picture taking locale.  It is a beautiful spot but my town is an old mill town with some great structures throughout it.  Unfortunately, they are also located in some high-traffic spots and since I teach in the town that I work in, I am not yet ready to answer any questions that may come along with a sighting of me, alone, taking pictures of myself.  I did have bricks on my mind, though, and the middle school is a stones throw away, so off I went.  No one was there, luckily, and I was able to get some pretty good shots right away.  Looks like I have a new picture taking locale...

  1. I love this look. Whoever said you shouldn't wear horizontal stripes when pregnant was terribly wrong!
Also, I thought you'd find this site super fun...www.bebepool.com It's a sight where friends, family, whoever can guess some things about your little one like birth date, weight, etc. Too cute.
