Our weekend

I just love when things work out the way that you (didn't) plan them.  Our good friends had rented a house last week in Plymouth, MA and had invited us to come and stay with them for a day or two.  We really didn't think we were going to be able to, since Damien can't really take many days off now because he needs to save them for when Max gets here.  But, he had already taken Friday off to do an engagement shoot for a wedding he is doing next summer, and as luck would have it, he was doing the shoot on the Cape.  So we woke up extra early Friday morning, drove to Plymouth, where he dropped me off, and he headed off for a few hours to take some pictures.  Now when I say that they rented a house, I mean a HOUSE.  It was beautiful and sat on the edge of some cliffs, looking over the water.  A few (hundred) stairs down, and you were on the beach.  It was perfect.  We sat on the beach, talked, ate good food, had a fire and just relaxed and enjoyed each others' company.  They had a son 8 weeks ago (Max's best friend) and he is adorable.  It was great to be able to spend time with them.

Saturday I was exhausted.  Damien had a wedding to shoot so I spent the day napping and hanging out with my mom.  Sometimes you just need that.

Today we built the crib!  We did some other little projects around the house, all centered around Max, including putting together his highchair, which I realize he won't need for a bit but it is just so cool looking and it fits in perfectly with our home (we went with the Boon Flair).    Once we finished up around the house, we headed out to the local golf course.  Every year my family holds a golf tournament in honor of my grandfather and today was the day.  I didn't golf this year.  Not because I am 8 1/2 months pregnant, but because I don't love it enough to put myself through that right now.  So we just went and met up with my family for dinner after they finished.  It was nice to see everyone and they are all anxious for baby Max to arrive...
