A (very) relaxing weekend

I kind of feel, even though Damien and I spent 3 hours driving to VT on Friday and 4 (yes, 4) hours driving home today, like I never left the couch this weekend. That is almost a true statement. Had I said I never left my couch, that would be a lie. But I did barely leave the couch this weekend, and I am not complaining. We got to VT Friday night, around 8:30 and just hung around with Laura and Shane (on the couch). On Saturday, it was absolutely pouring and although we did make a short hiatus to a great burrito restaurant and the Dartmouth bookstore, other than that, the couch it was. Laura had to work and then was off to RI for a bachelorette party, so it was Dame, Shane, Rock Band, the Macbook and I on the couch. I spent most of my time trying to find Shane and Laura a Halloween costume (and succeeded!). I also ordered my parasol and hat for my tightrope walker costume (it is getting so so close). We watched a little HGTV, ate great vegetarian food and vegged. I'm not going to lie, sometimes I absolutely love raining days since it gives me the excuse to do just that, nothing at all! We woke up today, talked a little business (Shane and Dame have started their own small business) and then we were on the road. We decided to take the long way home and stopped to shoot some self-style shots along the way. I hadn't really put much thought into my outfit, other than comfort, but it was fun shooting them anyway. We also found the best farm cafe on exit 5 off 91 and have decided to stop there anytime we head up to VT (which will be often).

Well, I hope you all had wonderful weekends. I just spent 3 more hours on the couch doing school work and I am just about ready for classes tomorrow. Have a great Monday!!!

  1. Aww it looks so nice in VT with the leaves! I have that same exact cardigan too and, as soon as it's cooler here, it will be back in my "comfort" rotation too :)
