Weardrobe sessions-I'm sick

I am sick. Not sick enough to stay home from school, just sick enough to feel terrible the entire time I am there and to keep me from being able to go for my nightly walk. Oh, and sick enough to have Damien go the grocery store without me, so it's not all bad. I hate being sick (who doesn't) and I am really bad at being sick. I get all mopey and all around down in the dumps. I had mono a few years ago, with a touch of strep throat on top of it followed by the flu and a cold. I worked one day in the month of December that year. Not a very productive year. Don't get me wrong, I am so very lucky that I am generally a healthy person. I know that. I guess this is just a reminder of how fortunate I actually am.

Today's outfit was the I-am-sick-but-I-am-going-to-try-not-to-show-it outfit. It is also the warm-spell-at-the-end-of-the-summer/beginning-of-fall outfit. Hopefully tomorrow's outfit will be the Wow-I-am-feeling-so-much-better outfit. I'll let you know!

black/white fedora- F21 $12(ish)
faux black leather jacket- F21 $30
grey/black striped tunic- F21 $19
black pencil skirt- Wet Seal $12
black trouser socks- Target $2
black flats- Old Navy $15

  1. awww, that's terrible. so soon into the school year. are you kinda new to teaching? it's harder for the newer groups. i am trying so hard to not get the swine flu, but the kids i work with get what we like to call the "green elevens" from august to june. sorry for being gross, but it's true! you look really cute and i hope you feel better soon.

  2. also...question for you. that second shot has dots in it. what are those? i get those in my pics sometimes. are the dust particles or something lit from the flash?

  3. Cute outfit!

I am sorry to hear you don't feel well... I hope it is a 24 hr thing and you will back to 100% tomorrow!

  4. sarah. I'M SICK TOO! its been awful traveling. and i'm also being mopey and miserable. i literally laughed out loud when i saw your outfit that was im sick but im not going to show it... i've been wearing similar ones to class all week!! i hope you feel better soon!

  5. @D- Thanks. I have actually been teaching for about 8 years now so I was hoping my body would get used to it. I don't think it ever does!

about the dots. It is a combination of dust or water spots with the flash. I kind of liked what it did to this picture here!

@Amy-I am feeling a bit better today so thanks.

@Kel-Miss you and hope you feel better too.
