Music I love (the White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather)

So by now, most people have heard of the White Stripes. And if you haven't, then stop whatever you are doing and go listen to them right now. Seriously. You haven't heard great music until you have heard what he Meg White can do with just the two of them. They are amazing, even in concert, and they have a variety of sounds to them. I am including their song "Blue Orchid" which is a rather popular one, just to hook you. Once you listen and fall in love, then check out some of their lesser known stuff, especially off of Elephant (with the oh so popular Seven Nation Army), Get Behind Me Satan (home of Blue Orchid) and their newest album, Icky Thump. Their earlier stuff is great too, but these albums rock a little more.

Once you have fallen in love with the White Stripes, it is time to move on to The Raconteurs. Jack White started this band with Brendan Benson and they are pretty awesome too. Here is one of their songs Broken Boy Soldier. Have a listen and then check out the rest of their stuff too.

Finally, we come to The Dead Weather. Enter Alison Mosshart, from the Kills. I am not that familiar with this band yet, but what I have heard, I have really liked. I wanted to include the song So Far From Your Weapon because ever since the first time I heard it, I couldn't get it out of my head. It has a really haunting but beautiful sound to it. There is no official video for it (that I could find) so instead I am including Treat Me Like Your Mother, which is still pretty freaking awesome.

Obviously all of these bands have Jack White as the common denominator and that is no mistake. He rocks. I think they all have pretty amazing videos too. Let me know what you think!
