Photography-Tilt-shift miniature faking

One thing that Damien and I had wanted to buy for some time was a lensbaby for our cameras. It allows you to take some pretty cool shots, especially creating tilt-shift miniatures. We never bought one. We did, however, discover the process of tilt-shift miniature faking which has allowed me to have similar results without the cost of a lensbaby. I still want one, but right now, there are many other things that I want more (a vw bus, a finished basement, an electronic drum kit...)

Here are a few examples of tilt-shift miniatures that I did simply using iPhoto (blurring the edges with the blur tool). It is a fairly easy process but works better with scenery or landscape photos. All of these were taken Ireland, some on the east coast and others on the west coast.
