First day of school

Hi Frank! Today was the first day of school for teachers. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. The morning was dedicated to learning more about the Community in Caring program which our school is now a part of. We had started this last year and I was on the committee to implement it at our school so I guess we are doing so this year. I think it might be kind of fun and certainly a challenge so I'm looking forward to it. We then had lunch and then had all afternoon to set up our classrooms and get ready for students to come on Wednesday. All in all, not so terrible. I ended up staying til 4:30 (I just can't seem to get out of the door!) and when I got home, I was feeling really motivated. I decided to run to the gym, work out (today is back day) and then run home. I did my self-portrait shots before running and now I am back, showered and ready for bed, ha! Ok, not yet but man, it's going to take a little bit to get back into the swing of things.

Since today was officially the first day of work, but not the first day of school, I didn't really feel like I needed to dress up. But, I did go on a shopping spree yesterday so I felt I needed to do justice to all of the wonderful clothes I just bought. So, I wore my new favorite skinny jeans, also from F21. They are Twelve by Twelve and they fit just great. I love how stretchy they are and these are the ones I will wear all of the time, not just dress down Friday. I mean, c'mon they are dressier than a lot of my pants that I do wear Monday to Thursday (ahem, cords). I also picked up another striped blue shirt since I love my American Eagle one and know that I will wear it out soon (no pun intended). It is similar, but different. The jacket, oh the jacket. I really didn't need it. But, I love the detail on it and the color. My new ringmaster jacket (ps, our Halloween party theme this year is circus, but like creepy, dingy, carnival circus!!!!). The shoes are from Target, a few seasons ago. I decided although I am tall, I am going to start wearing my heels again. These ones are safe, kitten heels, so I won't scare all of the little freshmen!!! (Oh yeah, and the hat I would wear if I was allowed to. Maybe we can add that to dress down Friday?)

  4. D- I don't think I mentioned where I got it actually. It, too, is from Forever 21. They also have it in black.
