Cross country road trip- part 2

Here we are in Texarkana, Texas.  We have driven nearly 1800 miles since Sunday morning.  At this point, I feel like we are in the groove.  It takes some getting used to, waking up in a different place each day, picking clothes out of a suitcase in the car, and driving, driving driving.  Good music helps, as does good company.

Asheville was really nice but we didn't see too much of it.  By the time we made it to a hotel, we had to order food in.  We went out to breakfast the next morning and walked around a little bit.  Then it was off to Nashville.

Nashville was awesome.  The first place we went was Third Man Records, Jack White's store and recording studio.  It did not disappoint.  We then headed over to 12th Street South, on a recommendation from a local.  We had ice cream and then take out from a taqueria.

We did some exploring of Nashville this morning, and ended up back in the 12th Street neighborhood.  We found a park for Max to run around in with a playground.  He really needed that and I think it helped with today going the smoothest yet.

We had lunch in Memphis, on a recommendation from our friends back home.  Then we walked down Beale Street, heard some live music and got ice cream.  That has been a trend on this trip.

It's off to Austin tomorrow for a few days. Here are some of my favorites from yesterday and today.  There are a lot.
