Max's third and fourth weeks

Time seems to be moving very quickly and very slowly all at the same time.  I am not sure where the last week went but it also felt as though it would never end.  I guess that is what sleep deprivation will do to you.  Things have been a little tough around here, mainly because Max has his days and nights confused.  But can you really blame the little guy?  His whole world has been turned upside down (or at least inside out) in a matter of less than a month.  I'd say he's not doing so badly, considering.  But still, it would be nice to be able to get at least a few hours of consecutive sleep.  We're making do, though.

The first few photos are left over ones from our trip to Vermont.  Max had his first real bath there and we were lucky enough to have some help from Laura and Shane.

Max received his first piece of mail last week!  It was kind of crazy to see his name on the envelope.  At first glance, I thought it was a mistake, and then realized who it was for.  I had to capture that.

The rest of the past 2 weeks has been filled with visitors, naps, some tummy time and the start of Max's baby book.  My mom kept great baby books for both of my brothers and me and I wanted to do the same for our children.  I searched for the perfect book.  I looked online, on ebay, etsy, the antique mall in VT (I really wanted one that reminded me of mine, and the ones I kept finding just wouldn't cut it).  Surprisingly, I ended up buying one at Babies R Us.  I never even thought to look there, but I found one made by Carters that is almost exactly like the ones my mom kept.  We started it the other night and I am excited to fill it out as he grows.

Oh, and speaking of growing, our little monkey is already up to 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 21 inches long.  That's 2 pounds and 2 inches in 3 weeks!!!!  Keep it up baby.

  2. So cute! Jude has that same seahorse! And I LOVE that you took a photo of his social security envelope's arrival.

Congrats on Max! Perhaps he and Jude can be internet buddies. :0)
