First day of summer (vacation)

It's official. I am on summer vacation. Phew, I really need this. The last few months of school were really stressful and I feel like I packed a lot in, especially these past couple of weeks. I was in school today, but it was to meet with my consultant for the program that I am doing to get my next teaching license. I will be in tomorrow too, to finish up the last couple of pieces of my portfolio, and then I mail it in and wait to see if it is accepted by the Department of Education... Wish me luck!

Tomorrow morning, Damien and I have our 27 week appointment. I was officially 27 weeks on Tuesday but couldn't go in then because we had final exams. This is the appointment with the dreaded glucose test. It has been sitting in my fridge for the past 3 weeks and believe me, I have not been anxious to drink it. At least that will be behind me tomorrow.

So it was ridiculously hot today and once again, our central air has broken so I tried to spend as little time as possible in my house. I also tried to wear as little as possible without crossing any lines. This dress is from Walmart, last year, and is nice because it is still long enough even over the baby bump. Black may not have been the best choice, but I wasn't in the sun at all so it wasn't that bad.

yellow scarf- gifted from friend
red sunglasses- Heritage 1981 $5
black sundress- Walmart $10
black flip flops- J Crew $12

  3. You're glucose drink was in your fridge? I've never heard of them letting you take it home. They usually require you to drink it in the waiting room, wait an hour and then they'll take your blood. Or if you have to do the three hour one...that's a treat. :)
    Good luck!
