It is a snow day today! And yet, there is no snow! Not yet, at least. Funny thing is, our high school is done with classes by 1:35 so we probably could have had school without any issues. But since the rest of the district gets out later, they have to make the call based on everyone. Generally I love a good snow day. But, with break only 3 days away, it kind of messes up all of my lesson plans. Oh well, things could be worse!
This is what I wore yesterday to work and then last night to our Student Council meeting. As I mentioned in Monday's post, I will no longer be wearing my distressed jeans to work. But advising doesn't count. It ends up taking up so much of my afterwork time that I don't count it as technical work. This dress I found the other day at F21 and I fell in love with it. I got a lot of compliments on it today; I think everyone liked the fact that it reminded them of spring. I paired it with the belt that Damien had bought me for Christmas and they seemed made for one another. I have yet to purchase blue tights so I went with a pair of speckled grey ones, which kept me super warm. I still love these grey booties, even though they haven't been getting that much wear.
I never had a bedazzler when I was little and I always wanted one. This sweatshirt was made for me then because a.) it is sweatshirt material and therefore really, really comfy b.) one shoulder is bedazzled and c.) the other shoulder has a large black bow! I don't think I could find a more fun shirt. Of course, I am always looking though!
I tried out some new locations around the house. The large Clarke painting is one that my cousin did for me a few years ago. It is a large schematic which includes all the important things in my life growing up and is one of my most favorite pieces.
If you are getting snow, enjoy. If not, enjoy that too.

ReplyDeleteOh man, I almost got the sweatshirt with the bow, but didn't because I wasn't sure how I would pull it off. It looks so great on you; I am sad I didnt get it.

I love the dress! Our school had an early release today, which also messed up my lesson plans for before the break.
ReplyDeleteI also totally understand what you mean about advising. At my school advisors help the students prepare for homecoming (decorating the gym, building sets, etc) so there's no way you would wear your regular clothes anyways.
LOVE your yellow dress! None of my teachers were as well dressed as you :)
ReplyDeleteI adore that dress! It's just so sunshiney and pretty and perfect. And it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the colors in that dress - so beautiful. And the bow on that sweater is such a great touch!
