four to go. Monday is officially over. Well, not really but I consider the day over once I am done with work (Sometimes I consider it over once I have successfully gotten up and ready for the day. Ok, not really but the thought has crossed my mind). Over in a good way. So now only 4 more days until the long weekend. Damien and I were supposed to be going to Philly for our anniversary/I have a bachelorette party for my friend Liza, but with all that is going on with my gram, we have decided to stick around here. I am really sad to have to miss the party. I wanted to be there to celebrate with Liza and the rest of the girls. I guess I'll have to save it for the wedding.
Today at work we started talking about the night before Thanksgiving. It got me to thinking, do all of you have traditions for that night? Where I am from, it is the night that everyone, and I do mean everyone from the town goes out to the local bar. It has been a lot of fun in the past but last year, it was really pretty lame. Hardly anyone was out and as a teacher, it can be hard because sometimes you run into kids that either just turned 21 or ones that aren't yet so you have to tell the bartender and sometimes we just have to leave. This year, we have decided to all go to a friend's house instead. Actually, we just decided this today so we have yet to spread the word (Stace-make sure you tell your husband). So, is this something that is common state to state, town to town or just a central MA thing? I am assuming it's pretty common for a lot of places but I really don't know. I'd love to hear your traditions!

Oh, the picture with the yellow flower...I went to look at it while taking my pic and there was the cutest bumblebee on it. He seemed stunned and just sat there while I did my pics. I'm including a pic of him too!

Great outfit, I like the skirt and the tights!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute in this outfit! I love that dress and with the shrug it's just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI've moved around constantly in my life, so really don't have any traditions associated with Thanksgiving eve. If I'm with my family in Southern California, we start preparing for cooking the next day (chopping, washing, etc.) but other than that I've got nothing! Going to a friend's house sounds perfect though :)
