A very productive day

I am not a morning person. At all. In fact, I think I chose the worst profession for my hatred of getting up early. I mean , I know that there are other jobs in which one has to get up earlier than I do, but there is something about having a classroom full of teenagers at 7:20 in the morning that would make even the earliest bird want to retreat to slumber. Up until March, I was getting up at 5:15 in order to get to work on time. Once we bought our house, we moved to the town where I teach so I now have a 3 minute commute. I must say, I do miss my NPR in the morning, but that's about it. I can sleep til 6:30 (I discovered showering at night, too!) and still get to work on time (well, most of the time).

But, this post is not to complain about getting up early (although I have done plenty of that) but rather to comment on how productive you can be when you do get up with the sun. For example, today I worked 7 hours, came home, did my self-style shots, ran to the gym (literally), worked out (back day), ran home, showered, cleaned the house, ate dinner (Damien cooked), did 2 loads of laundry, read my favorite blogs, and now my post. And it is only 8:20. Of course, with the getting up early comes the going to bed early so it is, in fact, past my bedtime. Ok, maybe not yet. But soon. Real soon.

Thanks to everyone for the super kind comments on my wedding post. I can't believe it has been almost a year!

  3. I really agree! I always rise around 5:30am... have breakfast, hit the gym, walk the dog, read and comment on my fave blogs, you got it! I think anyone can be a "morning person" - it is only a matter of when you go to bed at night.

    Have a great day!

  4. oh the busy life of a teacher! hehe. I am NOT a morning person either. Kev has learned to just leave me alone while I am getting ready because I really am not social. whoops. I am working on it!

  5. Wow! I am super impressed... I would never have been able to get all that done and still have time to relax. I can hardly do my self-photos, work out and eat dinner before 9:30. LOL

    Love your outfit! That blazer is adorable! You always look so cute. :)

  9. oh cool boots! those are from forever? LOVE them! do they have little detailing on the front of them? This is a neat looking outfit with all of the gray and silver colors. Everyone is rocking these gray tones, maybe I need to get on board with it! lol I love how you get these really interesting pictures from around town, it makes the blog so much fun to look at.

    and I have to ask... is your hair naturally that blonde? Because I love the color, and keep trying for it myself, but its not really working! anyways, just wondering cause its gorgeous!

    @Eva Internazionale- Thank you.

    @Megan-Thanks, and yes, there is detailing on the boots. That's what drew me to them. They also have the tiniest little heel,
    My hair is naturally blonde but not that blonde! I have 2 secrets (not really that secret). I have a great hairdresser who is convinced that she is going to make my hair fall out and...BABY POWDER! It works great and gives my hair that really platinum look. I highly recommend it!

  12. Thanks Jessica. I got them last season in MA. Sometimes they do tend to have similar stuff the next year so you should watch for them. I'll keep my eyes open too!
