100th post!

So this is it. My 100th post. And I must say, I am feeling pretty anti-climatic about it. I had thought that I would come up with something fun, something different to celebrate so I actually was putting it off all week, but alas, here it is, on a Sunday morning, on my couch, in my pjs. No biggie, though, right? It's not as if this is my last post, so no worries. I am happy that I have been faithful at doing this and so is my closet! It has forced me to try new things, not to rely on the same old look everyday. Oh, and Damien bought me a cupcake to celebrate my 100th post! He is the best!

I had the day off on Wednesday and my mom and I went to meet up with my friend Lizzie and her mom. Our mom's have been friends for a long time and so we have known each other most of our lives. She was one of my best women in my wedding and continues to be one of my very best friends. We had an amazing vegetarian lunch and then headed off to a consignment store that Lizzie always tells me about. It is called Into the Wardrobe, located on Brooks St (off Wickenden St) in Providence, RI. What a great place. They have some really great things, very well priced and the owner was so helpful! I ended up getting two sweaters, a long sleeve tunic and a pink hat. I am wearing one of the sweaters and the hat in today's self-style pics. I am in love with this hat and haven't been taking it off. It was a great day!

The rest of the week was filled with work, work, work. We are getting to the end of our trimester and so we have to start final exams this Friday. It has been stressful trying to get everything done before that time, and my correcting pile just keeps growing and growing!!! Friday night Damien photographed a wedding and since it was someone that we know, I tagged along. It was a lot of fun and I loved my outfit but I hadn't planned on wearing it; it was actually purchased for a wedding that we have in December so I will wait and post pictures then.

I started this post at 9:45 this morning and had to stop because I decided to run a race last minute with Damien. We had talked about doing it and up until 9:58 this morning, I wasn't sure that I was going to attempt it. But then I got a wave of energy and decided that it was time to start racing again. I used to be a runner (in high school) and I was good at it. I ran for a bit in college but I have a bad hip that kept me from continuing with it. I made running one of my goals this summer and have been running an average of about 6 miles a week, which really isn't all that much. The race today was in our town, to support the schools and it was 3.4 miles, so a little more than a 5k. And I did it! It wasn't so bad after all, although I am pretty exhausted now. We went right home from there, to shower and then back to the school for a football game. We went out for Indian food, but the restaurant was closed down, so we opted for Mexican. Now I am back on the couch, about to start my massive amount of correcting that I have to do. I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog for these past 100 posts as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
