Christmas 2015

And done.

Santa came and brought Max a metal detector, a sled, a snowboard and a remote controlled dinosaur.  We added in his very own Instax camera with a case, some filters, a mini album, as well as some cool Earth blocks, walkie-talkies and a new Where's Waldo book.  Some other highlights included a Sonos speaker, an amazing kitchen knife, an Artifact Uprising calendar and a beard kit.

I orded my first chatbooks for my mom and Damien as well and if you haven't checked them out, they're totally worth it.  We got a lot of new music and hours of fun with a button making kit.  Damien got me the google cardboard vr viewer which is pretty cool.  We've already been to Tokyo, Venice and Monte Carlo in the past 2 days.  We also received a super thoughtful gift from our friends in Arizona, complete with fossils, geodes and other cool desert findings.

It's pretty cool when all of the gifts in your house can be enjoyed by all of the people in your house.

Of course, the best part of Christmas is the uninterrupted time you get with family.  We had Damien's family, as well as mine, over on Christmas eve to open gifts with his side and to enjoy a delicious dinner.  Max got to play with his cousins and he got some great gifts from everyone.

Christmas morning we opened gifts at home and then headed over to my mom's where my brothers and their families were.  And then my favorite part, a family walk.  This year was different since it was 65 degrees out, so it felt a little less like a Christmas walk and a little more like an early fall walk.  Damien and I have a little business venture that should be happening soon so we spent some time over at one of the old mills in town, playing and getting in some good cousin time.  Max and baby Orrin are just so enamored with one another.  Any time that the two of them get together is some of the best time.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.  Here's to 2016!
